Policy Recommendations Washing Machines

Status

For washing machines and washer-dryers, the current regulations are Energy Labelling (EU) No 2019/2016 and Ecodesign (EU) No 2019/2019. They came into effect in March 2021. Once the next review process for those regulations is initiated, Topten will publish new policy recommendation on this page.

Ecodesign requirements washing machines: Commission Regulation (EU) No 2019/2023 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to Ecodesign requirements for household washing machines.
EN 60456:2011: Clothes washing machines for household use. Methods for measuring the performance.
