Current Regulations
There is no current regulation, but there is a voluntary energy label from the industry called the Unified Water Label.

Policy recommendations
It is recommended that the now voluntary label will be made mandatory for products on the European market. As hot water is one of the main energy consumers in private houses, this would enable consumers to make truly informed decisions and to save costs over the product lifetime.
The top class of the label should be defined stricter, because currently most of the products fulfill the criteria.
