Status
For water heaters, the current regulations are Energy Labelling (EU) No 812/2013 and Ecodesign (EU) No 814/2013. They came into effect in September 2015. A review study of the regulation on ecodesign and labelling requirements for water heaters and tanks was launched by the European Commission launched in July 2017 and completed in October 2019. Once the next step in the review process for those regulations is initiated, Topten will publish new policy recommendation on this page.
